This gathering is geared for men contemplating retirement, recently starting retirement, and for men who have been retired for significant periods of time.

 

Participants will:

●      Examine habits for a healthy retirement

●      Define "doing" and "being"

●      Set goals for this life stage beyond financial matters

●      Find purpose in and beyond "work"

This retreat will include gatherings with focused conversations, meaningful rituals, and delicious meals together. There will also be time for solitude in the rolling hills, meadows, and woods of The Hermitage.

 Led by Leon Bauman, a retired school teacher and school counselor whose life work has been mentoring young people, planting seeds of hope and possibility. A recurrent question in his journey is, "How can painful experiences be transformed and reframed?" He has completed the Men's Rites of Passage with Illuman and is actively engaged in his community, Mennonite Action, and co-leading a men's group at Assembly Mennonite Church in Goshen, Indiana.
